Focus Society is seeking a dedicated Transportation Services Driver to provide safe and compassionate transport for our clients within the community and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate transportation vehicles, adhering to traffic laws and FOCUS operational guidelines.
Provide reliable transport for interfacility and medical appointments, as well as local transit routes.
Maintain company vehicles in a clean, tidy, and safe condition.
Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, colleagues, and service providers.
Document trips and incidents according to FOCUS reporting procedures.
Actively participate in community events when transport services are involved.
Monitor and respond appropriately to traffic, weather conditions, and client needs.
Maintain a professional appearance, demeanour, and hygiene while on duty.
Qualifications
Valid Alberta Class 4 Driver’s License.
Completion of Professional Driver Improvement Course and 15-Passenger Van Safety Course.
Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergency situations.
Strong communication skills and a professional, courteous attitude.
Ability to perform physical activities, including walking, standing, lifting, and supporting clients when needed.
Work Conditions
Interaction with clients, employees, facility staff, and other agencies.
Occasional overtime may be required.
Travel within Vermilion and outside the region, including longer trips.
Exposure to all weather conditions while driving and assisting clients.
